The company's business is going down yet they are raising the prices, a sure sign of losing money. They want their existing customers to pay for the lost customers due to their incompetence.

They wanted to charge me a 20% increase, LOL. I called to potentially upgrade but after their clownish comments we ended with me telling them I now want to downgrade and maybe out of the company altogether.Other signs: trying to always upsell you, not listening to what's best for you but reading from a script that is only best for themselves, talking over you when what you are about to say is not in their best interest, providing conflicting or contradictory information, and being just rude overall. Here is how you handle situations like this: tell them you will give them one more chance to satisfy what you want before escalating the call. Then, not only escalate it to their supervisor, but to the Office of the President which will often force down the situation so that the supervisor's boss is made aware.

Ask to have all the calls pulled so upper management can hear for themselves the incompetence and stupidity of the bad employees. Often, the company wants feedback but this is blocked by the employees. So go online like to pissed consumer and then maybe it will come to the attention of management that way, too. What Spectrum needs to do is offer value, not try to rip off their own customers for their own greedy purposes.

Are they smart enough to do that? No. Instead, they will self-destruct by continuing to lose business, raising prices, losing more business until they go out of business or are taken over by private equity.

In summary, you tell them what you want, don't take their nonsense as to what's best for them only, complain and escalate as needed, go online and state your opinion, and go to the BBB or government agencies to complain as needed. The more you complain, the better it will be until these clowns figure out it's about the customer, and not about them!
