They are a waste of time and money! | Spectrum in Dayton, Ohio

I had my horrible experience in which started this morning, as I was getting ready to pay my bill. They kept saying that I had a past due balance(I always pay the bills on time). I'm fed up with them! I can't afford them nickel and dime me to much! Then I tried to call to cancel my service, they talked me into getting their mobile service (we already have a cell phone provider) Is there a way I can cancel the service without all the loop holes to go through?

Turning service back on received email representing monthly rate.. a little higher but not much since placed on hold.. BILL THEN ARRIVED WENT UP $87.00!!!!! After phoning negotiated a lower but still higher rate than what email stated..(after talking with 3 people and spending way too much time on phone) now they tell us change won’t go through until next month when we were told it would go through that day...finally resolved after spending over an hour on phone and having to talk to a supervisor...will keep service for now but will keep eyes open for other services...

Details
Prices increase every year often more often than that, even though you have received a guaranteed price. Same programming, same everything but cost. Every time they "update" system, the service is worse, and outages last much longer and are more frequent. Mine went up twice this year, the last $11.22 monthly, $134.64 annually. This may not seem a lot to some, but when you are on a fixed income, where your wage stays the same year after year, it is a lot. So going back to reading, and using wifi at library and other hot spots.

Isn't it just great to watch your rates go up, up and away while you get emails from Spectrum offering the same service to "new customers" at half the price you pay!!!! .....and of course try calling this company to lodge a complaint, you can't get thru without many hours of being on hold.....STAY AWAY!!!!!!

this company has no heart. We as seniors living on fixed income, but you still keep raising the fees on our bills. And when you call customer service, they are like a recording reading from a script on there computer you get no satisfaction at all. Will be looking for a new company

Have had internet service with spectrum for 7 years. I am a senior with a very small amount of income spectrum signed me up at 29.00 a month for internet service. Each year the price went up. My bill this month is 69.48. I can not pay this so I called to cancell my service. She would not credit me for the 2 remaining weeks so I would not be held responsible for this balance. The most amazing side of this story is they wanted me to sign up for internet and spanish tv for a total of 74.00 a month. Pretty discriminatory since my name is latin they would assume i would want spanish tv

I was charged for services i didn’t receive. When you plan to cancel your service make sure you do it at the end of your billing cycle, otherwise you will end wasting your money, New spectrum policy since 6/23/2019, they get richer while we get frustrated
