Continue to raise prices while offering less

When I was with Brighthouse had over 300 channels for $134. When Spectrum took over the price rose to $158 then approximately 8 months later it rose to $200. I spoke to a representative in reference to the price and was informed if I dropped Brighthouse and join Spectrum my bill would be lower. I did and found out later that I was getting fewer channels for that price. I feel the representative should have informed me that in changing I would be receiving fewer channels. I don't believe that the value you receive is worth the price they charge. Seem to have a lot of issues with their service. Examples loosing signal on stormy days where the signal freezes for approximately 5-10 seconds then comes back on. This will happen the entire time there is a storm. You can be signed on to their website and look for packages to change to. You have to re enter your information to log on even though you are already logged on. Then when you input the information it states the account doesn't exist. When you speak with a representative they say they are having trouble with the site. It should be a top priority to maintain the site since this is mainly how the public gets their information.

Uselss VoiceZone

For years I've been charged for VoiceZone, which is primarily a telemarketer's dumping grounds, which I don't use nor need. I doubt many people do. I see it as just another excuse to throw something no one needs into their bundles to raise the monthly price. Pffft!!!

They mislead you

I agreed to try the Spectrum Mobile Service because I was told that I had 14 days to try from the time I call and activate my new cell phone they will send me. I was also told I would get a full refund if I decided to return the phone within the 14 day trial. Then when I called to activate the new phone I was told right away that "Most people are confused about the trial as it started when we mailed the phone to you and not when you call to activate" so I only had 8 days left to try the service. I decided to return the phone. Then I see the refund was $60.00 short. $10.00 activation fee (which I never activated it) and $50.00 restocking fee. I complained because I had the call recorded from the sales person stating twice that nothing would be held out & I would receive a full refund if I returned the phone within my trial period. The supervisor just got rude to me and stated the phone recording doesn't matter. I have filed a formal complaint against this company with the Texas Attorney Generals office for misleading consumers. Spectrum DOES NOT know how to run a mobile service, their sales department, customer support department, and management support team are the most unorganized and unqualified people I have ever seen that is so bad it makes me think of a company trying to scam people. I will never trust these intentionally misleading people again.

Bad bad BAD

here is another one !! called to pay my wife's so called time warner cable bill for 103.00 paid them with my bank card full pay off within three days they sent me a bill for 175.00 to my address that I gave them when I paid the bill ( big mistake ) they never said a word about another bill when I paid the first one. I have never had warner cable at this address ever or will I ever warner cable or spectrum or whatever they call it is the biggest rip off ever along with this fly by night ERC crap company

Spectrum Mobile misled me and now I'm out $900

I spoke to a representative at Spectrum July 5, 2019 and he convinced me to switch to their mobile service. I was told that I could not use my existing Iphone 8 Plus, and that I would have to get a new one. He told me that I could take my existing phone to the closest Spectrum location and they would cut a check to my previous carrier AT&T for the amount I owed( Which is $269) . I took my phone to the location on July 18th and I was told that was not the process and that I would have to send my phone off to a third party site and they would give me an amount for my phone. That is NOT what the agent told me. I asked for them to pull the call and have a member of management to call me. I left for vacation on that same day. On Saturday 20th, I received a call from Ron that works with Spectrum and he said he's a resolutions specialist. He left a message that it was the last day to return my phone and if I wanted to do that I needed to do it that day. I was a bit confused as to why he said that. I tried to call him back and find out what he meant and I informed him I was on vacation and in a remote location I could not return anything that day. We finally spoke on July 26 and he told me he had a transcript of the call. He confirmed the phone rep did tell me to take to the spectrum store and I'd get my money for my existing phone. He confirmed the agent told me I had to get a new Iphone 8 plus that I couldn't use my existing one. The phone rep told me the Iphone x was just two dollars a month more so I went with that. Ron confirmed that he heard me say I really didn't want to change out my phone because it was new. Ron told me, I was stuck with my phone since I missed the 14 days. They'd give me a $50 credit for my trouble on my cable bill. I verbally stated that was not acceptable. I checked on Spectrums website and i could of used my phone. I did not have to buy a new one. I did not find this out until I returned from vacation. I'm out $900 because the agent wasn't familiar enough with the service he was offering and Spectrum does not want to own the mistake. I will happily return the Iphone X and use my existing Iphone 8

Petty thievery

Spectrum charges for international calls (which I NEVER make. The amounts are very small ( 16 cents 32 cents ) but after many months it angers me. Imagine doing this to hundreds of thousands of customers,,,IT IS NO LONGER CENTS! Anyone else have this happen?

Charged Fees For Returned Phones

We were all set to sign up for Spectrum Mobile - they sent the phones (2) with instructions to fully charge the phones and then follow the steps to port over our numbers. Spectrum was unable to port our current numbers and we returned the phones and cancelled the plan. HOWEVER, they charged us the activation fees AND a restocking fee. Horrible customer service.

Horrible Customer service as they not knowable about their service.

I signed up for Spectrum mobile because the commercial says I can keep my cellphone. After talking to a representative I was told I had to buy 2 new phones but that I would receive 600 for my Galaxy note 9 & iPhone XS. I found out the representative looked up prices on ebay, not their site. She also gave me the wrong website as it directed me to a appliance warranty center. After finally finding the website... I looked up my phones & seen they were only offering 200 each phone. I immediately called Spectrum to cancel the mobile phone service. I also called FedEx to cancel the package delivery. For some reason the package still came after FedEx told me they canceled it. The FedEx lady delivering the package assured me it shouldn't be the phone's as I told her I cancelled package. I ended up opening the FedEx box & seeing 2 cellphones. Samsung S10 & iPhone XR I called Spectrum & was e emailed a FedEx label. I immediately taped the brown FedEx box back up & re-sent back to Fort Worth. I never broke any seal of the boxes the phone's were individually wrapped in. I called after I was only refunded 33.75 of the 193.00 I was charged. I was told by spectrum mobile that the S10 seal was broke. That is a lie, I never broke any seal. The retention team called Mobil department after I called to cancel my services. I'm told they will call me in next 48 hours. If I don't get my full refund back, I'll never do business with spectrum again, and ill definitely spred the word. This is ridiculous, and a huge scam.

Dispute any charge you feel is erroneous with your card company. The problem with situations like yours is that YOU are supposed to prove the seal wasn't broken, not the other way around. Good luck

Mocked and humiliated and no help

So I recently changed internet providers to Frontier from Spectrum. It was a lot of cheaper. I called them that day and cancelled my internet. They verified my info and then cancelled. The next day I received my monthly bill for $59.99. We have had their service for a few years and have always paid on time. I waited a few weeks thinking their system hasn't updated. After a week or so, tonight, I called and asked why it still shows that I owe the amount when I cancelled. The lady put me on hold and came back and said my cancellation was never processed. She then tells me that I owe the entire month since the day I cancelled and my billing period crossed in the system. I told her that didn't seem fair. She said well, the supervisor 'completed' the transaction and now couldn't be 'undone'. She said there was nothing she could do. She said once the transaction was 'completed, there was nothing she could do. I asked why she didn't tell me BEFORE she completed the transaction. She said the person I spoke with to cancel should have told me. I told her he obviously didn't. I then asked if there was someone else I could speak with like a supervisor. She transferred me to this guy. I asked if he was a supervisor and he said no but he had the same powers as a supervisor- really? Anyhow, I explained to him that we were having a hardship and had to cancel and my husband switched to another provider because of the cost. He then keeps listening and says there is nothing he can do and that we were notified in our bill that it is now month to month and that since we were notified, he couldn't do anything. I told him we were having a hardship and that was why we cancelled and that we had been with them for a long time and always paid on time. He said he couldn't do anything other than offer a $10 credit. He then asked me questions like 'what other bills are you cutting - cell phone, tv? I don't know why he asked me but I answered and told him we don't have cable or land line and my husband uses a pay as you go. He then says he can re-activate my account for a month so we can use what we paid for. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Double paying for the same service? He kept saying - but you were notified. I told him that I was paperless and that my bank was on auto pay so that they always got their payment. He said they probably mailed something and I told him I don't recall receiving it. I told him I didn't want to get out of paying for something I used but I didn't use anything. I told him he could check his system. He said that they don't track that stuff - yeah right. I told him about social security ... I then asked him if there is someone else I could talk to . He said yes but they probably wouldn't be able to do anything either. Now, the next person gave me a different name but sounded the exact same like this guy and went through the same stuff. I told him we dont' have the router any more etc so even if he activates, I can't use it. He said I will mail you one and you can return at the end of the month. They also asked about if we were offered cellular....really? I again went to explain our hardship. I think he was just waiting for me to start crying. Now this is 1 hour later. I even asked if he was not helping me because I cancelled the service -he obviously said no. I told him it wasn't like we were mid month. The billing period was the same day! I realized nobody was going to help me. I hope these people have some hardship and people treat them the way he treated me. They kept asking about who the new service was with, what bills I cut out ... Why? you aren't going to help me and why do you need to know what bills I need to cut. I am glad I didn't get all their other services. Why give them more money than I already have. I will tell anyone who listens that this is how they treat seniors and people who need help.

The Worst Installation Experience Imaginable

I signed up for CATV, internet service, telephone service and mobile service. There have been major issues with every aspect of these installations. No one at Spectrum accepts responsibility for their failure to perform. It’s always another department’s error.

called to cancel my service for tomorrow The ending date on my acct is August 16, and I have to pay the whole bill! Because in small print they wrote in the may billing that they could no longer prorate billings. 182.00 for less than a wekk! We were in the office last week and tried to get a discount which they couldnt do but since i was cancelling now they offer mepromotiuons

I have been forced to use Spectrum for the last 4 years. You can not get one of the cheaper internet go's to come to this apt building.

So each year Spectrum decides that it will up my cost for service. We have no choice if you need internet. I live on a fixed income, and after paying my rent, elec, phone, there is not much left. Each year when there so called discounts are over, spectrum ups the bill....This time from 74, to 143 now. Almost a 50% mock up. How can they get away with this?? I am 90 so tv is part of what intertainment that I can get. The cost goes up again, it will mean no tv. THANKS Spectrum. I hope you sleep well with all your $$$ From the poor and aged.
