Deceptive Sales

I was approached by a Spectrum sales person at Walmart. Their sales pitch was good and I decided to switch over from Direct TV which we were not happy with. One of the things that the sales person told me a about Spectrum that I really like is that to get service on your tvs all you have to do is download the Spectrum app and the person installing service would get this set up on each of our tvs. What the sales person did not tell me is that this only works on Samsung tvs. WHAT??? We don't have any Samsung tvs. So now we only have Spectrum service on 1 tv, the one hooked up to the main box. The installer said we could go out an purchase ROKU streaming sticks @ $30 each or $60 for 4K for each of our other 5 tvs - another $180. I contacted Spectrum customer service. I was transferred 5 time over the course of 1 hour. The only resolution I received is that the sales person would be contacted and coached. I really don't care about that! I was misled and I think they should have offered me a credit to help cover the additional expense. BEWARE! Spectrum tv service can only be streamed to SAMSUNG tvs.

Terrible experience from beginning to end

First I was told by a sales person at a store that for 3 tv’s (2 smart tv’s get dvr no extra charge). Wrong! When cable guy came to install he had it down for 2 tv’s, not 3. He said that’s why I was quoted $104. I felt I was lied to just to get a sale. Then cable guy left without a word. No goodbye, thank you for being a customer. No, do you have any questions before I go. Nothing! He seemed to be in a hurry. That same day I called to cancel service. Worst of all I can’t watch Fox News which is like a drug addict having withdraw symptoms. It’s terrible!

Ever thought of going in with other customers on a class action lawsuit? I would be interested because a lot of your story has happened to me including being billed for a whole month that services hadn't even been rendered for and, on top of that, they had shut me off for non payment THE DAY IT WAS DUE!!

After paying it, they proceeded to shut me off again 2 days later for no payment and got me to pay again for the SAME time period! That has happened to me at least 3 times in a one year period.

They charge me $250 a month for high speed internet, cable, and phone, a bundled package that was, under TWC, never supposed to go higher then $169 a month. This is only the beginning of their corrupt *** with my family and I would be VERY interested in combining for a class action suit!

On 10/7/2019, Monday, My wife and I were watching TV; the MLB AL Divisional playoff game 3 to be exact. At just before Midnight Spectrum decided to do "scheduled maintenance" to their TV, phone and internet service. This was the 8th inning of that game. A LIVE game...Not a recording. We called Spectrum and were told by a recording that it was a scheduled maintenance and we couldn't speak to a representative as they would have no other answers than what they have provided. How about answering the question as to who decided to do this maintenance while millions of people where watching this broadcast...Oh and Monday Night Football was also on. While all this may seem frivolous, the point is we are paying for a service, we are NEVER late on our payment and if we lose service when we are watching something LIVE, that we REALLY ENJOY...Too bad. Wouldn't it have made more sense to do this maintenance while most people are sleeping? 1am? 2am? 3 am? No, because in ST. Cloud, FL Spectrum as a virtual monopoly. The other options for service are dish (which in the State of Florida should be banned) and a weak fiber optic from Centurylink. So Spectrum can do as they please and never have to worry about satisfied customers. No one can hold their feet to the fire for their poor performance. This is Spectrum and if I can save just one person from this nonsense I am satisfied.

Worst

worst phone service. do not. go with Spectrum under any circumstances. they have the lousiest. customer service. as far as I'm concerned. they messed my bill up twice. and they didn't care about it at all. PS. I repeat. I'm very upset. because they're still charging me and I'm not even with the service anymore... so I hope you understand this message. I said again do not under any circumstances go with Spectrum mobile.

Live football game delays during plays

So watching live football games on Spectrum through my Roku. Play starts off then "bam" there's a delay and all of the sudden the play is over. I saw the snap, saw a bit of the play starting but then WTF missed the entire play. That ain't cool Spectrum! Might as well cancel my service and watch the game on something else. Fix it!

Horrible customer service!

We were billed to much and after 8 calls still no refund. They dont do billing problems in their stores. Dont fall for the low prices, bad to do business them!

Being charged $225.00 for service canceled and all equipment turned in.Billing from 9/22/19 to 10/21/19 and canceled on 9/23/19

I removed all spectrum equipment from my residence on 9/23/19 and turned it in at the spectrum store.They sent me a bill for $225.00 for service from 9/22/19 to 10/21/19 which ihave no eguipment to receive said service.

Same thing happened to me. Cancelled service 9/6 and turned in equipment 9/7.

Received a bill for $149 for service 9/30-10/29.

Called and they said I had to pay it. Trying to figure out how to fight it!

Charged for cancelled services

I am trying to get my statement corrected because I am being charged for cancelled services. I still have internet, but cable and phone are on my new statement as past due. When I call spectrum they tell me my credits will be on my new statement. This did not happen! So, now they are telling me the charges are valid. They say I have to pay it, i haven’t had cable or phone for two months now! I am switching services.

All complaints lead to the same automated number

Received 2 phonecalls from spectrum after complaininng. When i returned the calls, one there was no answer and the other went where? The automated menu. I called another number and what? I actually got a human being! I explained my issue. Wait, i'll give you the number to call. 5 minutes later, he took me off hold and gave me the number. Now this would be resolved! Eagerly i called the number. You got it. I was connected to the automated menu. I have read the other reviews, and therefore have zero confidence this will be satisfactorily resolved. At this time i intend to terminate my relationship with spectrum, but of course, not until the end of the month. No pro rata.

Remotes are very hard for me to set it . I have read the booklet over and over I push the buttons and turned the tv by hand

It very hard to set the remote mostly for people can't read and or understanding The numbers and holding buttons some people I know that read there numbers backwards and the book is very hard to understand ! And the booklet is to small to read . And the buttons on the remote are to small and the buttons are to close together ! You need to make a voice control remote and a bigger buttons and a bigger booklet Sad

It tells me to reboot. I've done that. It reboots itself when i use rewind or play a stored show. I may need a new box. Do i have to schlep to a store to find out. Too cheap to hire people to answer complaints, but i bet i could get a person if i wanted to sign up.
