Don't ever go to this particular store.

I went to the spectrum store on Hampton in Dallas around 6:30 pm on Tuesday. There were 2 associates and 3 customers. The male associate was rude when telling me to take a number. I waited 35 minutes and my number was never called. I finally left the store Will never ever go to this store again.

Try to find an alternative provider

I called to complain about the bill going up 17 dollars and in the conversation I was told that If I ordered Apple TV I would be able to pay them off in 2 years and would no longer need to rent the cable box. Well after a few questions I was told that it was an easy change and if I did not like them they could be returned to Spectrum for a full refund in 14 days.. Well they arrived the following day and When I went to install them there was no instructions in English only and French, Spanish and another language. I went ahead and tried to get them to work and ended calling Spectrum for help. After about a half hour they told me to call Apple and gave me a number. I called Apple and the gal told me that the software was not installed and she had several calls in the last few days for the same issue. Well Apple got me on tract to install the software. This installation takes between 40 minutes and two hours to install. I put the software to work and played with it until I could make it work without any instructions. Not being used to Apple it was very unfriendly and not very user friendly without ad guide or instructions. I decided to keep one Apple and return the other two, There is no way my wife would be able to operate it and not drive me to drink. I packed ;up the two unused Apple TVs which had never been opened ad tried to return them to the local Spectrum store. They refused to accept them and told me I had to take them to Medford and return them to Apple. I ask for instructions and where to send them. The guy at the counter was insisted that I just had to take them to Medford a 90 mile round trip and give them to UPS. I ask for the shipping address as going over there was not going to happen the next day. I ask to speak to the store manager and when he came out he was very abrasive and rude. I ask for his name and he refused to give me his name. I explained that when I purchased the items I was told that if I did not want them just return them within 14 days and I would not be charged anything. When I ask for his name he refused to give me his name and just said he was the store manager. I decided to take his picture for identification and he lunged at me. I took a defensive positon then he said I tried to hit him and called the Police. He when he gave his name to the dispatcher I wrote it down as Tony Comes, I am not sure of the spelling. I remained at the store until the Police arrived. Now mind you I am 80 years old and still have enough sense to not get into a physical confrontation This manager who is the face of Spectrum in this area certainly need some interpersonal skills improved. He refused to give me the shipping information. Would not remove the items for my account and could not tell me where to ship the items. He wants me to drive 90 miles and give these to a third party and hope like *** that I dont get burned. I simply ask for some information and he refused to even be civil When the police arrived I remained outside the officers were able to just shake their heads and were fully understanding of my frustration. I have called and been told that I can take them ;in locally about 30 miles round trip and UPS will handle them. I was on the phone with you company and shifted between George, Tequila, Barbara and Angie. After nearly 40 minutes I was given the direction which I hope resolve this issue.

Get another service

Have had spectrum for a year ,a bundle streaming tv internet and home phone. I get at least 2 calls a day from spectrum wanting me to switch to spectrum. We have talked to supervisors at least six time told we would be put on a no call list did not happen anytime. Today got another call asked Representive why spectrum was stupid to keep calling a existing customer . Gary the rep then said (bug off *** bug off) and hung up. Is this the way a business show treat a disabled veteran and his wife? We have been lied to and ignored. I left an email for Kathleen Mayo V P of Customer Service and my husband called and talked to several people to no avail. Only silence for spectrum.

I would think twice and investigation befor using spectrum webmail

Use another e-mail - Spectrum webmail is terrible

Slow coming up; slow deleting e-mails; may delete after a long wait and may not. This is true in all functions: primary e-mails, spam, and purging trash. The Worst e-mail I have ever had. Called technical support, and they didn't know any more than I did! Probably will never here from Spectrum, and we will continue to live with this until I can replace it with something else. I have YAHOO in my office at work, and it moves so fast, you don't have to wait on anything.

Spectrum email is as bad as you stated and cannot be relied on as your primary email address. Best to have alternate and much better ones, eg., Yahoo, Gmail or a host of other free ones.

When giving someone your email address, it is always best to provide an alternate one for the many occasions when Spectrum messes up. Apparently, Spectrum has hired the cheapest computer programmers in this and foreign countries to design and implement their email---with predictable results.

Be careful when you cancel their service!!

Keep in mind that when you cancel the service, Spectrum will not prorate (give you a refund) the time left in the billing period (month). You might as well let the service go until the last day. I was led to believe that would credit the 3 weeks left in the month by canceling early. I cancelled the service and was charged for the full month.

Avoid at all cost

I got service back when it was Time Warner with a bundle (tc, internet and phone) for about 130.00 monthly....then it went to 160.00, next came 193.00 and for Jan 2020 the new bill was $225.00. Well I did not even waste any of my time trying to work with the "solutions" department. I have spent over a dozen hours on hold trying to get a rep in that nonexistent space. I went in to the local store to return my equipment and cancel service on Jan 6, 2020. I paid a prorated amount through Jan 6, 2020. Now they are sending me a bill for service from Jan 8 through Feb 7, 2020. Funny but I did not have service from them for that period. I am sending the bill back to them saying I am not paying for services not rendered. That is against the law right? I am also contacting the state Attorney General with a complaint about their business practices. We will see if they move my account to collections for $58.00 and hit my credit report and then I can spill the beans to the credit reporting agencies. I will go to my grave with this dept and they can kiss my ***

Bad customer service

Billing dispute!!! Was told my services would not be disconnected and my issues would be resolved. Said they would call back in a couple of days. No call back. About to be done with Spectrum. Completely inept from the get go.

Not reliable for internet

I keep losing access throughout the day and evening, it's worse if the weather is bad; like windy, raining, or snowing. The first time they came out they replaced the modem. The second, third and fourth times they came out they said the problem was outside and would have to have their crews come out and fix the lines, for my entire street. They promised I wouldn't lose access again. Two weeks later, and it's happening again. I was not charged for the repairs they did for any of the times they came out, but it's so annoying when it keeps happening. This is the worst service I've ever had and I wouldn't recommend it. Do your research before you decide on a company. I only have internet. Not a TV watcher.

Do not be fulled by apple TV sales is pushing on new customers

when we signed up for services the apple tv the sales rep pushed on me was the most slow and trouble to navigate from one channel to the next. I spoke to a rep about these boxes and was told to return them. After 2 months, I was sent 3 boxes from apple that were returned. Now Spectrum is charging these boxes and charging me monthly for something I am not even using. They instead told me to sell the apple tv boxes to someone else. They lie to customers and are not standing behind the products they are sending to customers.

The last two months my bill has gone up $30.00. This is why people are leaving this company. When you are on a fixed income you can't afford their prices.

Do not get service

We live in a good community and every time the weather is bad and sometimes nothing is wrong we lose service with no credit to account. Had happen three time in the previous year/this year.

Aviod this Company until they majorly overhaul the company top to bottom

Rude Customer Service, No one can give you the same answer to the same question, constant run around when you have an issue. Company does not value long time existing customers, in fact they penalized with high cost for same services.

Don't do business with spectrum

Scammers. Sent me two apple tv boxes, opened one, didn't work. Even one of the spectrum techs couldn't make it work. Called spectrum, would not allow me to send back unopened box. Waited two weeks for return label. Time expired to ship back. Evil people.

I was planning to rent an apartment in Ohio, and asked for Spectrum service starting on 10/22/19. The agent agreed to this but sent equipment immediately (10/19) regardless. My moving plans changed, and the equipment sat in the apartment office. FedEx agreed to return it at my multiple requests, but didn't do so, possibly being in collusion with Spectrum to maximize contract revenues. I paid a courier to return the unopened equipment. Now (1/20) I am getting collection calls for a full month's service on an account that was never used.
